New Images added to Gallery
I’ve added a couple more new images that I’ve created in photoshop to my gallery. They are the new binary code background image I created at the weekend and also another binary themed image I’ve been working on over the last couple of days. I’m quite pleased with both of them and therefore thought it was worth putting them up on my site just in case any potential employers may want to view examples of my design work. I’ve produced these without a brief to work to as we have not covered any graphic design on my course but though it was worth experimenting indipendently in this field

I still was not happy with the background image I had previously designed - I thought it could be better, look slicker. I therefore spent some time designing a new background image to upload to my site. After much deliberation I decided to design a binary code theme, in keeping with the ultra modern, new media feel I have be trying incorporate throughout my site. An inverted image of a piece of work I had previously worked on looked amiturish and does not fit with the look I have been trying to create. After I had designed and produced my new background image I uploaded it to my site using my ftp file manager in dreamweaver, and added it to my site by going into the stylesheet on the dashboard and writing the relevant code. I think this background image design looks alot slicker than the old image. Please find below screen shots of both my old and new background image designs so you can make your own mind up:

Changed Blog Post Headers and Body Text Colours
I changed the post header colour to red, and main body text to white in order to give my site a consistant colour scheme which matches the new banner and background image I have created. Again, in order to do this, I found the required code for red and white from http://html-color-codes.com/ and replaced the previous existing code that I had entered.
The site is really starting to have a consistant theme running all the way through it now, mostly due to configuring the CSS and adding the various plugins etc. There may just be hope for multimedia rejects like myself yet!!

I felt that I would like a more subtle, professional look and feel to my blog as perspective employers may well view this site, so therefore I would like to create a good impression. I therefore have redesigned both the background image and the banner at the top of the site and uploaded it to my site using the ftp manager in dreamweaver. Here is a screen shot of how my old background image and banner used to look before its image make over:

Changed text body colour using CSS
I wasn’t happy with the blue body colour, it was too dark, and blended in to much with the background black, so therefore I found the code needed to create a yellowey-geen colour and changed it to that in the style sheet. I think this looks alot better and makes the text stand out and alot easier to read. I also changed the colour of the page links at the top right hand corner of my blog, just because I can!
I’m really making these adjustments and adding the various plugins as the blog is now really starting to look and feel like my own now.
